We hosted the best European Capital of Culture year in 2008 when the city took centre stage with a series of inspirational and awe-inspiring events.

Since then the city has not rested on its laurels and is now seen as one of the leading cities in Europe for putting on major cultural showcases, whether it’s the Royal De Luxe Giants or stunning maritime events such as the Three Queens.
