16 new two and three-bedroom homes built on regenerated waste ground, incorporating off road parking and gardens to provide high quality family homes.
Tetlow Street’s distinctive collection of two and three-bedroom homes have breathed new life into a neglected site in North Liverpool’s Kirkdale area.
Located a stone’s throw from Stanley Park and just 2.5 miles from the city centre, Tetlow Street features designs by BYA Limited – a young Liverpool-based architectural practice.
The project sees two rows of contemporary semi-detached homes built along a new residents’ access road.
Each comes with a suite of energy efficiency products, including Vaillant boilers, external insulation and double glazing throughout, helping to ensure sustainable homes and tenancies.
As with all LMH new-build homes, the development also benefits from high-quality fixtures and fittings throughout, ranging from fitted Magnet kitchens to Porcenalosa bathroom tiles.
Additional funding for the scheme came from the Homes and Communities Agency’s Affordable Homes Guarantees Programme.
The disused land off Heather Close in L4 had become a magnet for fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour.
Keen to see this challenging site developed, Liverpool City Council released the land to LMH through the Liverpool Housing Partnership.
LMH sourced project partners and materials from the local supply chain where possible.
As well as direct employment on site, the scheme delivered indirect employment through the supply chain and induced employment via spending in local shops and businesses.
Trees have been planted along the new road to enhance the setting and local environment.
