TWO mixed under 11s football teams in Woolton have scored support from LHP member Redrow Homes.

Redrow has donated just over £2,300 to the U11s teams at Woolton FC, which paid for all of the kit needed for the next couple of seasons.

Manager of the teams, Lee Rogan, who lives in a Redrow home himself, visited one of the Liverpool Housing Partnership developments, Woolton Fields, to ask for help.

Lee Rogan explained“We needed new kits to cover all of our matches at the weekends, and, although we charge our team members subs, that money is needed for the running costs of our indoor and outdoor training facilities. So we’re incredibly grateful to Redrow because the funding for the kit now means that we can play more football whatever the weather seeing as we don’t have to worry about our subs money having to be used elsewhere.”

Redrow sales director Jason Newton added: “Redrow loves to get involved in the communities in which it builds and we’re thrilled to have been able to help Woolton FC out. They’re a huge club and are very well known locally so no doubt many of our customers will have something to do with them at some point and will be able to reap the rewards of not only having a full and extensive kit suitable for rain or shine, but also good all-weather training facilities.”

MSB Woolton FC currently runs over 100 teams catering for everyone from children to adults, including open age teams for men and women and veteran teams.
